New Tyres for Severn Freewheeler
The Charitable Trust has paid for a new set of motor-cycle tyres which are now helping the emergency voluntary service, Severn Freewheelers continue their life-saving work.
A group of advanced motorcyclists, the Severn Freewheelers (SFW) provide a free, out of hours service delivering blood, human tissue and other essential medical items between NHS facilities in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and North Wiltshire.
The Trustees were keen to support the SFW after learning about the fantastic work carried out by the charity from one of our patients at Wroughton who also volunteers as a rider. Lee-Anne Heaford, Manager of Haine & Smith in Wroughton says: “This is such a deserving cause as the SFW provide cover for the NHS from 7pm-7am, and all day at weekends and public holidays thanks solely to volunteers and public donations. It’s great to see the new tyres that the Haine & Smith Charitable Trust have funded helping to keep a rider on the road, literally!”
