Glasses - Coatings

Anti-reflection coatings
If you suffer from glare when wearing your glasses at night, or if your eyes feel tired when you have worn your glasses all day, then you could benefit from having anti-reflection coated lenses.

Benefits of an anti reflection coating include:

  • Reduces glare from head lights, computer screens and televisions.
  • Clearer vision
  • Makes you look better in your glasses - people can see your eyes more clearly as there are no distracting reflections to get in the way of eye contact.

This anti-reflective treatment can be combined with a scratch resistant coating for optimum lens performance and durability.

Scratch resistant coatings
Most people choose plastic lenses because they're lighter than glass and less likely to break. However, plastic lenses can get scratched more easily.

Applying a scratch resistant coating to plastic lenses helps protect them from excessive wear and tear.

Benefits of a scratch resistant coating include:

  • Vision is enhanced due to less scratches
  • Prolonged life of the lenses

This scratch resistant treatment can be combined with an anti reflection coating for optimum lens performance and durability.

Tints
Excessive exposure to the sun's ultra violet rays can be harmful to our eyes and may cause long term damage. We recommend applying a UV filter for your lenses to help block the sun's harmful rays.

A wide choice of tints is also available to reduce the amount of light getting into our eyes and to make our vision more comfortable.

Benefits of tints include:

  • Reduces glare
  • Is cosmetically appealing
  • Can block harmful UV rays
  • Increase visual comfort
