Jenny

Jenny began her career with Haine & Smith in 2009, initially working in administration in the laboratory before moving into practice and qualifying as a Dispensing Optician in 2017. This has given her a strong understanding of the whole patient journey, from the technical side of optical ordering through to helping patients choose and collect their glasses.

As Practice Manager at Melksham, Jenny is passionate about providing a warm welcome and excellent care for every patient. She has a special affinity with children and is currently studying a paediatric eyecare course to further develop her knowledge in this area.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys baking with her young children and going on walks with her two dogs.

Haine & Smith have been great this last week. Eye tests for me and my daughter. I needed glasses but they weren't pushed onto my daughter as her prescription only changed a little. Staff helpful in choosing frames and options on lenses (I have no clue) for me. Daughter also had a contact lens trial appointment. She really struggled with anxiety around the process of putting them in. The optician was great, noticing she looked pale and didn't rush her at all. They told her it's ok to stop and try again another day, if she'd like to, and that's what we did. It was handled really well by all staff, who were really comforting - thanks!
