Your Eye Test
The last 15 years have seen a remarkable change in the way people are living their lives and many of us are now spending in excess of six hours a day staring at either a computer screen, mobile phone or television. Not surprisingly, this places increased stress on our eyes, which may lead to blurred vision or dry eye. It is therefore important to ensure that you have your eyes tested every two years, or more frequently if required.
Qualified optometrists at Haine and Smith Opticians will test your eyes using modern equipment and will give you appropriate advice on what action needs to be taken. As well as monitoring changes in your sight, we will look for signs of conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes and high blood pressure.
Remember, you cannot “fail” an eye test. We do try to explain the process clearly, but if you do not understand anything or require more information, please ask the optometrist who will be delighted to help you.
During our Pre-Examination process, you will receive a pressure check of your eyes and a test of your Visual Fields using some of the latest equipment. Many of our practices have Retinal Imaging Cameras so you can see a clear image of the back of your eye. You can rest assured you will receive excellent professional care.
If you require any further information prior to booking an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact your local practice.
