Children’s Eye Test - FREE NHS SIGHT TEST

Under 16-year olds sight tests are free under the NHS General Ophthalmic Services and if spectacles are required, they will receive a voucher towards the cost of the spectacles. Having a sight test can seem a daunting experience as a child but you can put your mind to rest that your child will receive the care and attention they deserve from our Optometrists and practice staff alike.

Haine and Smith Opticians use many of the methods used to test adult’s eyes on children but we can also use more child friendly ways if required. By using these other methods, such as picture cards, we can assure you we are looking after your child’s eyes thoroughly and professionally.
