The new Nikon SeeMax Sports lenses are here - and we are pretty obsessed already

It’s that time of year again when sport takes over our lives, and gyms and sports centres see an increase in sign ups for clubs and memberships. If we aren’t watching Wimbledon or grazing on the Grand Prix, then you’ll probably find us somewhere on the continent indulging in a few water-based activities.

Let’s not forget though that eyewear is an essential piece of the sports kit, and good lenses are just as important as your racket, helmet or trainers. With the variety of multiple sports available, we are excited to be stocking the latest lenses from Nikon - the new SeeMax Sports range.

New portfolio of lenses for sports enthusiasts

Using exclusive technology to improve performance but not forgo on aesthetics and comfort, we are actively recommending the SeeMax Sports to customers looking to achieve their sports-playing potential.

Optimised for sports they are the perfect visual solution for any sports environment. Whether you are keeping an eye on the ball or calculating a distance up ahead, conventional lenses do not provide the benefits or visual stability that the SeeMax Sports do.

Key technologies

Offering three visual zones to accommodate distance, SeeMax Sports are available in a range of colours and tints, with the highest coating protections to ensure maximum performance for playing sports at all levels. These include scratch resistant, anti-reflection, dust repellent and UV protection.

When you speak to one of our Optometrists about your lenses they will conduct a full consultation on what type of sports you play and where you play them. Each sport environment is different (do you play on a court or the grass for example), and with over 25 different colours, it is important to determine which colour would be best suited to your gameplay.

Personalised for you

All of the SeeMax Sports lenses are adaptable to fit any frames, and during your consultation you will be asked a series of questions to ensure you have a personalised subscription to suit your needs and lifestyle.

These questions would include whether you suffer from glare when playing sports, or if you would like a solution that adapts to light. It’s important to establish if you have any issues with your visibility when playing a particular sport, as you may need to consider your prescription completely.
