Introducing ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-DAY contact lenses from Johnson and Johnson

Calling all spectacle wearers! Have you ever considered switching to contact lenses? While many people are happy glasses wearers and love the change of image they provide, contact lenses can be a great alternative.

Contact lenses have several advantages over spectacles. Because they sit on the surface of the eye, they provide very natural vision and the wearer’s field of view is not restricted in any way. It can be a very liberating experience to walk in the rain or open the oven door and still be able to see clearly, just as it can be very freeing to slip on a pair of non-prescription sunglasses on a sunny day without having to worry about driving safety. Contact lenses are also a fabulous, safe alternative for patients who like to play sport or who work in particular professions where their spectacle frames are likely to get damaged.

The type of contact lens a patient may choose lies with the individual. It will depend on a range of factors like lifestyle, comfort and budget. Some customers switch between contact lens and spectacle wear. They may decide to wear frames at work or school for example, but wear contact lenses when they are playing sports or socialising. In a world where digital demands are increasing, looking after our eye health is more crucial than ever.

Customers who wear glasses may think that lenses protect their eyes more, but with the latest launch from ACUVUE® that uses two combined technologies for comfort and clarity, there is no need to sacrifice style for screens.

ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-DAY

Featuring TearStable™ Technology and OptiBlue™ Light Filter to help deliver MAX comfort and MAX clarity*2 for all-day performance, the next-generation of contact lenses are ideal for all prescription types. Our happy customers are reporting back that they are reliable, their eye fatigue is reduced when using screens, and they are easy to wear all day without feeling any discomfort.

The lenses are designed to have a one-day cycle and you would dispose of them at the end of the day. There is no need to clean or store them, but we do recommend washing your hands before applying and/or touching your eyes to minimise any infections or irritations.

TearStable™ technology maintains moisture and supports the stability of the tear film that has been specifically developed for these contact lenses. Without it, wearing contact lenses for a long period of time can strain the eyes and could cause dryness.

Joining this groundbreaking technology is OptiBlue™ Light Filter, which is also exclusively available in this product. Johnson and Johnson Vision Care suggest that its OptiBlue™ Light Filter can absorb 60% of blue light and support the reduction of halos, light scatter and starbursts.

You could consider frames with blue light filtering lenses to reduce eye strain when working on a screen. Anti-glare and scratch-resistant lenses are also good options and worth the extra investment depending on your child’s needs and lifestyle.

Forget frames

We are stocking the ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-DAY products in our practices and recommending them to patients who want all-around reliable contact lenses with cutting-edge technology. If you do have any questions please contact your local practice.
